VMLIP provides human resources (HR) consultative services to members with public official’s liability coverage to assist in mitigation of employment practices liability exposure. HR services include:
- Review of member materials such as job postings/descriptions, policies, procedures, corrective actions, performance appraisals, and more;
- HR consultations – phone based or in person;
- Training – Web based and in person on topics such as the Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, sexual harassment, workplace violence, and more;
- Family Medical Leave Act consultation and research;
- Sample personnel policies and procedures;
- Sample interview questions and employment posters;
- HR audits; and more.
