n addition to ensuring that injured employees receive high quality medical care, VMLIP staff offer additional services to ensure that they also receive personalized service and timely treatment for their injuries. Workers’ Compensation Services include:
- Two full-time registered nurses specializing in occupational injuries, who serve as patient advocates for injured employees. They coordinate return to work opportunities and liaise between employee, employer, and physician.
- VMLIP maintains a panel of physicians for employers and pays for the initial treatment of any injured employee utilizing a panel physician within 24 hours of injury.
